Acupuncture is generally used for internal treatments of the body such as: stress, insomnia, digestive issues and ongoing pain.
Dry needling (Medical Acupuncture) is used for trigger points that develop in the muscles. These points lead to neuromuscular dysfunction, resulting in pain, discomfort and decreased function on the structures. When applying the needles into the muscle they elicit a twitch response to release the trigger point abs restore normal function.
